K. A. D. Luxman began his boxing journey at St.
Matthew’s College, where his natural skill and dedication quickly set him apart from his peers.
- 1970 Crowned Junior Best Boxer (80 lbs) at the Colombo Schools vs Outstation Schools Championship

- 1973 Competed in the Intermediate Novices category, continuing his steady rise through the boxing ranks
Representing the Sri Lanka Navy in the Featherweight Division from 1974 to 1978, Luxman was a dominant and technical force inside the ring.
