K. A. D. Luxman began his boxing journey at St.
Matthew’s College, where his natural skill and dedication quickly set him apart from his peers.

  • 1970 Crowned Junior Best Boxer (80 lbs) at the Colombo Schools vs Outstation Schools Championship
  • 1971-Winner of the Junior Championship
  • 1973 Competed in the Intermediate Novices category, continuing his steady rise through the boxing ranks
Sri Lanka Navy Achievements

Representing the Sri Lanka Navy in the Featherweight Division from 1974 to 1978, Luxman was a dominant and technical force inside the ring.

  • Navy Inter-Command Champion-1974 to 1978
  • Best Boxer – Navy Inter-Command Tournaments (1974 & 1976)
  • Best Sportsman of the Year – Sri Lanka Navy (1977 & 1978)
